Funeral services for Mrs. Edgie Jane Kendrick, 84, of Gilbert, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home. Interment was in South Central Cemetery, with the Rev. David Oliver and the Rev. Sonny Nugent offficiating. A native of Mississippi, she was born July 7, 1897. She was a housewife, and a member of Kendrick's Ferry Pentecostal Church. Survivors include one son, Warner Kendrick, Gilbert; one daughter, Mrs. Ina Kendrick Chapman, Ferriday; one sister, Mrs. Rose Crawford, Wisner; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Wayne Sanders, Billie James, Russell Wesberry, Wade Bufkin, Kenney Bufkin, Amos Kenney, Clyde Parker and Phillip Kennedy. The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA December 23, 1981
