SULLIVAN - Mary Lucy Frederick Drake, 89, of Sullivan passed away 4:27 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, in her home, Sullivan. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, Sullivan. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or the American Heart Association. Mary Lucy was born February 6, 1920 in Kirksville; the daughter of M.D. and Edna May (Matheson) Frederick. She married Cecil Drake July 3, 1941 and he preceded her in death on May 18, 1985. She was a member of the Allenville Christian Church. She is survived by her son, David (Sheila) Drake of Sullivan; daughters, Nancy Glick and Jackie Guin of Sullivan; brothers, Bruce Frederick of Davies, FL; Rev. Jacob (Shirley) Frederick of Gays; Sam (Kay) Frederick of Sullivan; sisters, Annabell Malloy of Sullivan; Marguerite Gallagher, Pearl Hudson, and Beverly Bolsen all of Mattoon; grandson, Bret (Cindy) Guin of Sullivan and granddaughter, Kristin (Larry Sutton) Guin of Sullivan; several nephews, nieces and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cecil, brothers, Will H. (Cap), Charles D. and Chester R.; sister, Ethel May Jent; sons-in-law, Stanley Guin and J.R. Glick; nephews, Steve Frederick and Barry Bolsen; nieces, Bridget Bolsen and Sandy Jent Gordon and an infant brother and infant nephew. Herald & Review May 18, 2009 - A6
