Rosalie Vculek The funeral for Rosalie C. Vculek, 87, of Wahoo will be 10 this morning at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. She died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at her home in Wahoo. She was born Nov. 23, 1916, in rural Ceresco to Tom and Sophie (Hruby) Wotipka. She graduated from Ceresco High School. She married Joseph H. Vculek in 1936 in Brainard. After her marriage, they lived in Eugene, Ore., for two years, then moved to a farm northwest of Weston in 1939. They moved to a farm just east of Wahoo in 1943. She had been a member of the St. Wenceslaus Choir since 1949, St. Ludmilla Guild, Catholic Daughters and the Altar and Rosary Society. Survivors include: two sons, Joseph E. of Wahoo and James R. of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Barbara (Mrs. Chuck) Velinsky of Omaha; a brother, Jim Wotipka of Santa Ana, Calif.; a sister, Pat Alvord of Beatrice; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband. The Rev. John Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in St. Francis cemetery in Wahoo. Memorials have been established to Saunders County Historical Museum and St. Wenceslaus Church.
