Bio

Mrs. Eunice Pickering, 75, of Leisure Lodge Nursing Home, formerly of Rt. 3, Paris, died Friday, October 20, 1978, in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 22, with sister Virgie Temple officiating. Burial was in Rockford Cemetery. Eunice Smith Pickering was born December 29, 1902, in Delta County, a daughter of Charlie and Elizabeth Smith. She married Dee Pickering in March, 1920, and he died in 1975. She was a Baptist. Survivors include two sons, both of Paris; one daughter of Paris; two brothers; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Hayden Stripland, Don Gean Smith,, Eddie Doyle Pickering, Don Roy Pickering, John Freeman and Clarence Coleman. THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, October 26, 1978
