THE OKLAHOMAN (Oklahoma City, OK) 3/29/1924 In Memoriam (Saturday) J.P. Burford, 79 years old, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.W. Chestnut, 316 W. 18th street, Friday afternoon. After a funeral service, which will be held at the residence Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, the body will be shipped to Norman for interment. Burford is survived by three sons, W.R. Burford, Wellston; L.P. Burford, and J.P. Burford, both of Lindsay; and five daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Olson, Guthrie; Mrs. Oceola Lee and Mrs. Zone Lee, Greely, Colo., Mrs. E.W. Chestnut and Mrs. Bird Ann Gillett, of Oklahoma City.
