Bio
A funeral for Veryl E. Wellman, 31, Gering, who died Dec. 22, was held Friday in Jolliffe Funeral Home with the Rev. William Coop officiating and burial in West Lawn cemetery in Gering. A memorial was established to his children. He was born Jan 29, 1955 in Casper, Wyoming. He moved with his family to Oconto in 1960. In 1963, the family moved to Gering where he grew up and graduated from high school in 1973. He married Lynda Neuman Jan 30, 1976. He worked for Stanko Packing Co. for nine years and for Western Valley Packing Co. since that time. He was a member of the Church at Bryant in Scottsbluff. Survivors include his wife; sons Ryan and Derek, both at home; mother, Lavergne Cowan of Scottsbluff; brother, James of Scottsbluff; sisters Donna Dedlow of York and Joyce Peterson of Sacramento, Calif., and half-sister Darlene Masterson of Casper, Wyoming.
