Bio
Funeral services for H.S. Poole, 67, 916 E. Sixth Street, will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Wheeler. The Rev. P.D. Fullingim, pastor of the Central Baptist Church of Borger, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. M.B. Smith, pastor of the Highland Baptist Church of Pampa. Interment will be in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Duenkel-Carmichael Funeral Home of Pampa. Poole, who moved to Borger from Wheeler County in 1954, died Saturday morning in Highland General hospital, Pampa. Survivors are his wife, Willie Lee of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Lewis Stone of Ore City, Texas, Mrs. Boyd Hensley of Liveoak, Colorado, Mrs. Freddie Skidmore of Dove Creek, Colorado, Mrs. C.W. Worley Jr., and Mrs. Wendell Ray Garrison of Pampa; five sons, A.E. and Virgil of Pampa, Max and Eugene of Borger, H.A. of Dove Creek, Colorado, and Lloyd, stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Vertie Shields of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Mrs. T.C. Hallenquest of Newsom, Texas; one brother, E.H. of Houston; and 29 grandchildren.
