Janet Louise Friedmann, nee Hill, 83, Villa Ridge, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at Cedarcrest Manor, Washington. Mrs. Friedmann was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Clarksville, Ark., the daughter of Paul Hill and wife Cassie, nee Bailey. She received her schooling in the Robertsville and Pacific area. On Nov. 27, 1942, she was united in marriage to Walter Friedmann in St. Charles. Mrs. Friedmann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Feb. 13, 1996; one sister, Pauline Ludwig; and three brothers-in-law. She is survived by one daughter, Janet Hassler, Villa Ridge; two sisters, Mary Feldmann and husband Arthur, Villa Ridge, and Doris Lang, Pacific; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 10, at Oltmann Funeral Home, Union, with the Rev. Lonnie Webb officiating. Interment was in Cedar Grove Methodist Cemetery, Robertsville.
