Linda Walden-Woods, 72, of Amarillo died Sunday, May 3, 2009. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Temple Baptist Church with Jess Roan officiating and the Rev. Chad Mantooth, pastor, assisting. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St. Mrs. Walden-Woods was born July 24, 1936, in Wellington. She was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church, where she played the piano for more than 30 years. Linda loved good old-fashioned gospel music, reading and traveling. She was the glue that held the family together, and enjoyed sitting and visiting with her family. Survivors include her husband, W.J. "Woodie" Woods; a son, Kevin Walden of Flower Mound; her mother, Ora Mae Milton of Amarillo; two stepchildren; a brother, Harvey Milton of Nazareth; two sisters, Otisa Prater of Grapevine and Peggy Milton of Carrollton; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
