Bio

Funeral services for Mrs. Dewey Allen, 32 years of age, were held at the family church near the home, Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. J. H. Lewis in charge, assisted by the Rev. J. A. McCarty and the Rev. Jasper Boyett. Mrs. Allen died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Allen of the Colgrade Community Sunday night, March 8, after a long illness. Before her marriage Mrs. Allen was a Miss Teniert [ sic Teinert] of Texas. The deceased is survived by her husband and one five year old son, Dewey, Jr., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tienert [ sic Teinert], and a sister and brother of Texas. The last rites were attended by a large number of friends of the deceased and the family and the floral offerings were many and beautiful. Published in The Winn Parish Enterprise, March 12, 1931
