Bio

Eileen Parma Mitchell, age 70 passed away at her home on Sunday evening April 26, 2009. Eileen was born November 3, 1938 to George H. and Agnes Jurik Parma in Ennis, Texas. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School. She was the organist at St. John Catholic Church during the 1950's. Eileen met and then married the love of her life Bob Mitchell on September 13, 1958. Eileen and Bob lived in Denton, Fort Worth and Mesquite Texas before moving back to Ennis in 1969. During their union they were blessed with 3 children. Eileen was an avid volunteer for St. John School where her three children completed their education. She was a member of the St Johns Requiem Choir, the Catholic Daughters, the K.J.Z.T., the Golden Crusaders and the Ennis Garden Club. After her husbands retirement they loved playing golf together for 15 years at the Pecan Plantation in Granbury, Texas. Eileen is survived by her husband Bob Mitchell, of Ennis; Sons: Gary Mitchell and wife Renee Mitchell of Ennis and Greg Mitchell of Cary, North Carolina and one daughter: Pam Wilson of Denton, Texas; one sister Dolores Lovvorn of Abilene, Texas. Grandchildren are Ashlee Wilson of Denton, Texas, Drew Mitchell and Joleigh Mitchell of Ennis, Texas and Tony Falcinelli of Denton, Texas. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild Krista Wilson in 2001. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday April 29, 2009 with Rosary at 7 p.m. with Johnny Marek officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. in St. John Catholic Church with Father Henry J. Drozd as celebrant. Pall Bearers will be Mike Liska, Tommy Liska, John Marek, Bill Stewart, Jason Parma and Mitch Jurik. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St. John Requiem Choir or the Krista Wilson Memorial Scholarship Fund at Immaculate Conception Catholic School, 2301 Bonnie Brae, Denton, TX 76204.
