A former resident of Washington, D.C., she was preceded in death by her husband, Lt.Col. Dale E. Slessman, U.S. Air Force (Ret.). Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Patti & Gordon Chapin; son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Joyce Slessman; grandson, Benjamin Gibson; granddaughter, Rebecca Gibson. Graveside services conducted Friday, May 2, 2008
