Bio

Charlie C. Temple, 70, of Winnsboro, died Wednesday of last week enroute to Franklin Parish Hospital after a brief illness. He was a retired farmer and merchant and member of Crowville Lodge 370, F&AM. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday at Lone Pine Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. H. H. Ross officiating, assisted by the Revs. Ronald Burns and Charles Chapman. Masonic graveside services and burial was in Harris Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sherrie T.. McMurray of Minden; one brother, D. F. Temple of Winnsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Kimbrough of Winnsboro and Mrs. Neely Sissom of Georgetown; and one grandson, Little Joe McMurray of Minden. Pallbearers were Ralph Clifton Stewart, Danny Driggers, Clovis Sturdivant, Travis Welch, Donald Burns and Jerry Burns. The Franklin Sun Winnsboro, LA October 7, 1971
