Albert Allen Ellison, 86, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2009, in Itasca. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Monday in Azleland Cemetery in Azle. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel, Itasca. Albert was born Jan. 9, 1923. Albert was a survivor of the Pearl Habor attack while stationed on the USS Indianapolis. He was a avid treasure hunter as well as a great basketball player for the Itasca Wampus Cats in the 1940s. He was preceded in death by wife, Gay Ellison; son, Larry Ellison; parents, Charlie and Ola Ellison; brothers, Hollis, J.C., Aaron and Glen Ellison; and sister, Dorothy Aldridge. Survivors: Son, Wendell Ellison and wife, Susie, of Powderly; daughters, Karla Clay and husband, Johnny, of Blanton and Ginger Tindell and husband, Stan, of Waco; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Martha N.
