Julius was a life long farmer in Harrison County, Indiana. Julius had previously been married to MInnie's elder sister, Rosa Agnes Swarens (1869-1897), on 23 Oct 1887 at Sharp's Mill, Harrison County, Indiana. Julius and Rosa were the parents of three known children, all sons.
