Bio
Ava Nell Flowers Alexander was born January 22, 1948 to James Luther Flowers and Arvia Edna Smith Flowers. She was a member of Wallace United Methodist Church in Canton, Texas. She was married for 42 years to Robert W. "Bob" Alexander who was a Chief Radioman aboard FBM Submarines for fourteen patrols. She retired in 2003 from Verizon with 25 years service. She was a member and Past Matron of Canton Chapter #667, Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed scrapbooking, traveling, and communicating with family and friends by Email on her computer. She also enjoyed her church and singing in the choir. Surviving are her husband, Robert "Bob" Alexander of Canton, Texas; daughter, April Vivian Alexander McKinney of Canton, Texas; son, Walter Luther Alexander of Canton, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Carole Flowers of El Centro, California; and granddaughter, Brandi Leigh McKinney of Canton, Texas.
