Bio

Alice Louise McElroy of Springfield died Sept. 27 of age-related causes. She was 92. Alice was born July 30, 1912, in Gould, Okla., to Irwin and Beulah Loter Grant. She married Earnest McElroy on Sept. 11, 1937, in Eugene. He died Jan. 18, 1969. She had worked as a caregiver. She enjoyed gardening. She belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Neighborhood Watch. Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Hunter of Fall Creek and Sharilyn Caudil of Gardnerville, Nev.; a brother, Ralph Grant of Grants Pass; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service was in charge of arrangements.
