COOPER Funeral services for retired Colonel Kenneth Cooper, 80, of Bay Minette was held June 29, 1992 from the First United Methodist Church of Bay Minette. Interment followed at Bay Minette Cemetery. Cooper, a lifelong resident of Baldwin County, died June 26 at a local hospital. He was active and held various positions in the First United Methodist Church. A former district attorney of Baldwin County, he was a practicing attorney at the time of his death. He served as a director of the United Methodist Church Foundation. He was active in the American Red Cross for over 50 years; former member of the Baldwin County Board of Education; member of the Alabama Right of Way Association; member of the Alabama Bar Association, Christian Charity League; American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his five children, Kenneth Cooper Jr. of Georgetown, Ky., Mary Ellen Chatwin of Jouxtens, Switzerland, Carol Anne Brown of Huntsville, Susan C. Shulke of Turkenfeld, Germany, and Riley B. Cooper of Birmingham; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Carlos E. Cooper of Mission Viego, Calif.; two sisters, Georgia McMillan of Rosinton and Dorothy Martin of Bay Minette; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne M. Cooper.
