Tom was born to Vincent and Helen (Zimola) Konecky. A devoted husband and fantastic father, Tom loved his faith, his family and farming the land his grandparents settled on after coming from Czechoslovakia. He was an active member of St. Wenceslaus church, serving in many various capacities throughout his lifetime. He devoted his life to improving the Guernsey breed, building a nationally renowned herd and serving the dairy industry in many leadership roles. He raised his children under the precepts of hard work, determination, respect, honesty and personal integrity, teaching that all the cattle got fed before the kids.
