Mary LaDonne Matthews married William Theodore (Cap) Harris on December 7, 1939, in Houston, Texas. They made their home in Tyler, Texas. LaDonne was diagnosed with cancer and taken to Houston for treatment. She passed away just six months after her diagnosis, leaving behind her husband and two young sons.
