Edward T. "Ed" Gann, 74, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, at a Clifton Care Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the Meridian First Baptist Church with burial at Meridian Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Ed was born in Meridian, Texas, to the late Melvin and Frances Elliott Gann. He was raised in Meridian, where he finished school. He served with the U.S. Army. He worked for many years as a machine operator for a fiberglass manufacturing company. He was a member of Meridian First Baptist Church. Survivors include sisters, Joann Wimberly and husband, Jake, of Clifton, and Jeanette Burreson and husband, Joe, of Laguna Park; brothers, Billy Gann and wife, Lorene, of Robinson, and R. L. Gann and wife, Cynthia, of Meridian; and numerous other relatives and friends.
