The Salt Lake Tribune August 27 1994 page D5 ETHEL STOCKING SWENSEN Our most loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Ethel Stocking Swensen, 77, passed away August 25, 1994 at a Murray hospital, after a long illness. Born January 9, 1917 in South Jordan, Utah, to George W. and Lillian E. Winward Stocking. Married Sterling Reed Swensen, June 5, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and were devoted to each other for 55 years. Graduated as Valedictorian from Jordan High School and spoke at commencement. Active member of LDS Church. Survived by her husband; children, Judy Baxendale, Larry, Sherrie, and Gary (Melany); 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, August 29, 1994, 12 noon at Hillside Ward, 495 East 5600 So. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. and Monday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
