Clarence E. "Clancy, Spec, Red" Sagert, age 66 of Wahoo, passed away Thursday November 27, 2003 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born December 12, 1936 at Omaha, NE to Clarence W. and Hattie H. (Bartek) Sagert. On August 7, 1989 he married Kay Johnson. Clarence served in the U.S. Marine Reserves from 1953 to 1958 and the U. S. Army from 1958 to 1960. He attended Mead High School and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Wahoo and American Legion Post #82 in Wahoo. He was preceded in death by a grandson Kyle Kincheloe, brothers Myron and Clark Sagert, and sister-in-law Elly Sagert. Survivors include his wife Kay of Wahoo; daughters and sons-in-law Sandra and Rick Trykowski of Broken Arrow OK, Shelly and Dan Sheldon of Columbus NE, Judy and Dave Simonini of Wahoo; son Ronald Kincheloe of Las Vegas, NV; brother Delmar Sagert of Wahoo; brother-in-law Gary Johnson of Holdrege NE; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one niece, several nephews; and many good friends. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday December 1, 2003 at the Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home with the Rev. Don White officiating. Casket bearers will be Tom Syverson, LeRoy Novotney, Harry Lyane, Gale Jansa, Don Marrs, Sr., and Dale Meese. Honorary Casket Bearers include John Shanahan, Bud Mathis, Pat Martin, Ray Syverson, Larry Veskrna, Rod Ross, and Roy Akerson. Visitation is scheduled for 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo.
