Daughter of Grant S. & Florence (Brass) Randall Married on August 4, 1921 in Sargent, Custer County, Nebraska Amos Services Thursday Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Glenn (Florence) Amos, age 84, on Thursday, November 13 at the Rhoad Funeral Chapel. Rev. Leslie North will officiate with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Obituary of Florence Amos Florence B. Randall was the first born of two daughters at McHenry, Illinois to enhance the union of their parents Grant and Florence Randall Babe as she was affectionately called grew to womanhood on the farm and was her Father's helper. He professional desire was to be a public school teacher. She acquired this goal by attending rural and city schools at Woodstock, Illinois and Kearney State College in Nebraska. She taught schools in Nebraska. One of the earliest being at Coburg, eight miles south of Sargent, making her home with an aunt and uncle and their family, Bert and Edith Brass. She taught in public schools at Westerville, Dry Valley vicinity near their home on the farm and the Sargent High School. Also two years at Laramie, Wyoming. She was united in marriage to Alfred Glen Amos, August 4, 1921. Their home was established on the farm south of Sargent, later moving into their home in Sargent. The observed their "Golden Wedding Anniversary" with gifts and greetings from relatives and friends far and near. Florence was a member of the PEO Sisterhood and united with the Episcopal Church at Kearney, Nebraska. She was a good friend to all who knew her. She was stricken with Leukemia and for the past several weeks received treatment in various hospitals where she searched for comfort and healing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mrs. Hettie Reichow. Leaving to mourn their loss, is her husband, his brothers and sisters, cousins, other relatives and many friends. God has not promised Skies ever blue, Flower strewn pathways all of life through. But God has promised strength from above Unfading sympathy Undying love.
