Geraldine Gartin Graveside services for Geraldine Strawn Gartin, 78, of Lubbock will be held 10 a.m. today in Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Mark Elvers, officiating. Burial is under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. She died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at Heritage Oaks. She was born Dec. 3, 1921, in Young County. She married Woody Strawn Sr. in 1940, in Lubbock. He died in 1971. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Danny in 1996 and Jerry Don in 1974. She owned her own drapery business and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rebecca's and was Baptist. Survivors include a son, Woody Jr. of Lubbock; a daughter, Deborah of Stone Mountain, Ga.; a sister, Billye King of Lubbock; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer Association.
