Mary Sims Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, January 30, 1989 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Mary Sims Mary Viola Sims, the daughter of Henry and Ida (Wilson) Watson, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 25, 1903, and passed away at her home in Aurora, Nebraska, on January 25, 1989, at the age of 85 years and 2 months. Her entire lifetime had been spent in Hamilton County, and she graduated from Marquette High School. On September 17, 1927, she was united in marriage to Charles W. Sims, at Giltner. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1959. She and her husband owned and operate a service station for many years in Aurora. Mary was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and belonged to the Dorcas Circle. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Extension Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Alan; 3 sisters, Leota Miller, Mildred Schoonover, and Beulah Carlson. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son, Lee of Ft. Collins, Colorado; a daughter, Marjorie Barnes of Grand Island; 2 brothers, Marvin Watson of West Port, Washington and William Watson of Corpus Christi, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
