Bio

Athens Review December 8, 1949 Funeral services were held Thursday at 3 p.m. from the Methodist Church in Malakoff for Mrs. Beulah Lewis of that community. Rev. Alton Jones of the First Methodist Church of Grapeland conducted. Interment was in the Post Oak Cemetery. Mrs. Lewis, 64, died Wednesday at her home in the Post Oak community. Born in Navarro County November 10, 1885, she moved to the Post Oak settlement at an early age. She was a member of the Cross Roads Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, G.C. Lewis; two sons, Smith of Thornton and James Lester of Beaumont; two daughters, Mrs. Letta Nowlin of Malakoff and Mrs. Gedyce MacAffee of Corsicana; one sister, Mrs. Nora Allen of Corsicana; and two brothers, Durwood Lynch of Mexia and William Lynch of Houston.
