Corsicana Daily Sun (Corsicana, TX); 15 Nov 2004 Jimmie Bill Bowling Sr. Jimmie Bill Bowling Sr., 78, of Powell passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, in Corsicana. Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Corley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Mr. Bowling was born Sept. 10, 1926, in Coppell. He served in the Army for two years in Germany after World War II. He loved fishing, playing dominoes and politics. He worked on Senator Oscar Mauzy's campaign, and he later ran for City Council in Garland. He was an active member of the Teamsters Local 745. Mr. Bowling attended El Centro College and graduated from UT-Arlington with a bachelors degree in accounting and English. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, and was generous with all of the people he met. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and mentor. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Mae Bowling; parents, Mark Twain Bowling Sr. and Morilla Bowling; and stepson, Johnny Harris. Survivors include his daughter, LIVING; granddaughter LIVING; grandson LIVING; stepdaughter, LIVING; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Bowling of Carrollton and Jenny Duke of Pasadena; brothers, Mark Twain Bowling Jr. of Dallas, Johnny Mack Bowling of Carrollton, Teddy Bowling of Newport News, Va., and Arlie Ray Bowling of Lake Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. ∼ Son of Mark Twain Bowling and Susan Arilla McLain
