Bio
The Florence Daily Tribune, Volume 14, Number 15, September 19, 1904 Man Killed at Portland. Worthington Jones, an employe (sic) of the Portland cement works was accidentally killed about 3 o'clock this morning, by being caught in the macinery (sic). Jones only lived about thirty minutes after the accident occurred. He was about thirty years old and married. He came from Pueblo to Portland, his family only having joined him about two days ago. Coroner Little was notified of the accident and went down at noon to hold an inquest. Worthington Samuel Jones was born 11 Jun 1876 in Texas, son of Victoria (Mankins) and Samuel W. Jones. He died 16 Sep 1904 in Florence, Colorado, and was buried in Roselawn Cemetery, Pueblo, Colorado. On 15 May 1901 he married Nancy Josephine Lovette, in Pueblo, Colorado.
