Bio

Daniel David Koone was the son of Peter Koon and Susanna "Susan" Owenby Koon. He married Rebeckah Morgan about 1838 in North Carolina. Daniel and Rebeckah were the parents of 1.Albert Koone, b.1839, d.1863. Albert was killed by Bushwhackers during the Civil War. Albert is interred at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Clinton, Van Buren Co., Arkansas. 2.Elizabeth "Betsy" Koone, b.March 18, 1840, d.November 29, 1912. Betsy never married. She is interred here at Old Liberty Cemetery. 3.Peter Koone, b.1842, d.1862. Peter was Killed-In-Action in the Civil War. His body was never recovered. 4.Abner Koone, b.1844, d.1862. Abner was also listed as Killed-In-Action in the Civil War. His body was never recovered. 5.Marion Koone, b.February 06, 1847, d.1936. Marion married Margaret 'Peggy' Franklin in 1873. Marion and Peggy were my GG Grand Aunt and Uncle. Marion and Peggy are interred at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Rupert, Van Buren Co., Arkansas. 6.Daniel Koone, b.July 12, 1849, d.October 11, 1946. Daniel married Jane Elizabeth "Jennie" Massey in 1890. Daniel and Jennie are interred here at Old Liberty Cemetery. 7.John Koone, b.June 14, 1852, d.August 16, 1924. John married Sylenia Driver in 1880. John and Sylena are interred here at Old Liberty Cemetery. 8.Rebeckah Koone, b.February 25, 1855, d.June 3, 1890. Rebeckah never married. Rebeckah is interred here at Old Liberty Cemetery.
