Bio
William (Jack) A. Pickrel, 70, died at his home in Homedale early this morning after a long illness. He was born March 27, 1884 at Blanchard, Iowa. In 1898 he went to Fullerton, Neb., and in 1909 married Lillian Elliott at Central City, Neb. They came to Caldwell Sept. 21, 1939 where they lived up to three years ago when they moved to Homedale. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Earl Pickrel, Homedale; Ervin Pickrel, Caldwell; and Ivan Pickrel of Portland Ore., one daghter, Mrs. Herman Klein of Wolbach, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs Emma Stott, Cozad; and Mrs. Imus, Portland Ore.; and seven grandchildren. Services will be held Friday, Feb. 25, at 2 pm in the Cahill Chapel. Interment will be at Canyon Hill.
