He married Ruth M. Lee 11 Jun 1965. They divorced 19 Sep 1973. He's buried next to his wife, Joni. [Full name and first wife's last name provided by contributor Angie Mitchell Martin (48252725) .] -------------------- Wellington Leader December 5, 1996 R.C. and Joan (Joni) James Cook were killed in a car accident near Baird Sunday afternoon, November 24, 1996. They were members of the Prestonwood Baptist Church and they were both employed by Northern Telecom. The couple is survived by their son, Richie, a student at Texas Tech. R.C. was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bobby Joe Cook of Weatherford. His survivors include three brothers, Dennis Cook Jr., and his wife, Erlene; Bill Cook and his wife, Mary; Jerry Cook and his wife, Otie; Johnny Lee Broyles and his wife, Alma; Charles Cook; Rev. Harold Cook and his wife, Pat; and two sister Betty Sue Lunday and Linda Kay Cushman.
