Bio

A large number of relatives and friends attended funeral services at Walton Cemetery Tuesday afternoon for A.W. Loden, 73 whose death occurred Monday at the Community Hospital Tupelo. Mr. Loden was one of the older citizens of the Walton Community. He was a progressive farmer and a very wide awake citizen. He was a member of the Baptist Church and will be greatly missed in the church, the home and the community. The rites were conducted by Rev. W.G. Gray and burial was in the family lot in the Walton Cemetery with Hawkins and Son in charge. Besides his wife, Mr. Loden is survived by six sons; John, Samuel, Abner, Arthur, Lewis, and Quitman, six daughters; Mrs. Emma Comer, Mrs. Edna Nanney, Mrs. Marie Carroll, Mrs. Martha Benefield, Mrs. Dora Moody and Mrs. Eva Nanney, and several brothers and sisters.
