Gertrude (Cline) Kerr The Wagoner Tribune June 11, 1940, Page 1 Funeral services for Mrs. J. Edwin (Gertrude) Kerr, wife of the pastor of Wagoner's First Presbyterian Church, who died at 12 o'clock noon Tuesday, June 4, 1940, at Farmington, Arkansas after a long, lingering illness from the rare Hodgkin's disease, were held Thursday afternoon. Funeral services were held in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Thomas E. McSpadden, pastor of the Bethany Presbyterian Church, Muskogee, and the Rev. A. S. Cameron, pastor of the First Methodist Church, Wagoner, officiating. The Rev. Walter G. Letham, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Muskogee, represented the Presbytery at the funeral. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Hersman Funeral Home. Besides her husband, Mrs. Kerr is survived by two children, John Edwin and Virginia. Pallbearers were W. J. Sleeper, Frank Brown, Wilburn Gilmore, Bob and Jack Hill and Karl Hellen. Honorary pallbearers were D. F. Bethel, J. H. Phillips, G. A. Bearden, R. W. Gilmore, F. B. Gilmore, C. J. Gilmore, A. J. W. Ahrens and A. L. Troxel. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending funeral service for Mrs. Kerr, included Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Cline, Celina, Texas; Mrs. J. E. Veith, Fort Worth, Texas; Ed Lewis, Mrs. Lillian Cunningham and Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lewis, McKinney, Texas; R. R. Rutherford, Dallas; T. C. Cunningham, Abilene, Texas; Mrs. Sallie K. Lively, Amarillo, Texas; T. L. Kerr, Parsons, Kansas; Rev. and Mrs. W. M. Griffin and Brooks Lewis and earnest Lewis, Farmington, Arkansas and Mrs. W. M. Reinhardt, Mt. Ida, Arkansas.
