The Fulton Daily Sun-Gazette:1961 SERVICES FRIDAY FOR MRS. MEALY WHO DIED TUESDAY: Mrs. Henrietta Mealy, a longtime resident of Portland, Missouri, died last night about 8:30pm at her home.** Funeral services will be held at the Portland Baptist Church Friday afternoon with the Reverend Lewis Krause officiating. Interment will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens. Nephews will serve as pallbeavers. The body will lie in state at the Maupin Funeral Home here until time of service. Mrs. Mealy was born June 5, 1885, at Higbee, Missouri, the daughter of Werley and Mary E. Blakley Henderson. She would have celebrated her 76th birthday in three weeks.** On December25, 1912, she was married to Lester Mealy at Portland and he survives.** Besides her husband, survivors include six children, William Wesley Mealy of Paris, Missouri, Mrs. Jennie Oliver of Vandalia, Missouri, Lester Mealy Jr. of Hartley, Delaware, Glen Franklin Mealy of Fulton, Henry Ralph Mealy of Claypool, Arizona and Mrs. Edna Hutchins of Chicago Heights, Illinois.** Two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Hurshman of Marissa, Illinois and Mrs. Eunise Smith of Freemansburg, Pennsylvania, a brother, Frank Henderson of Marissa, Illinois, fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive. ** She was a member of the Baptist Church.
