Hendricks, Joe Cleo GARLAND - Joe Cleo Hendricks, an 88 year old resident of Garland, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 at his residence. He was born April 25, 1920 in Sedalia,Collin Co., Texas, son of James Larkin Hendricks and Myrtle Burkhead Hendricks. He married Sally Phillips July 27, 1938 in Dallas. They have been married for 70 years. Mr. Hendricks had been in the jewelry business for many years. He was a long time member of the Van Alstyne Masonic Lodge. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Van Alstyne Cemetery under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home. Chaplain Charlie Holt will officiate. The family will gather at the funeral home in Van Alstyne for visitation at 1 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Mr. Hendricks is survived by his wife of 70 years, Sally Hendricks; daughter, Carolyn Hendricks; son, James Hendricks, all of Garland; and granddaughters, Lauren Hendricks, also of Garland; and Natalie Pitt of Wichita Falls.
