Funeral services with Mass here held in Sacred Heart Church Monday at 10 a.m. for Mrs. Richard Herr, 26, who died Friday morning. Mrs. Herr and a companion died of asphyxiation in a car near Thackerville, Okla. She was an employee at Weber Aircraft. An auxiliary deputy of the Love County Sheriff's office spotted the car at 8:23 a.m. parked at the south end of old Highway 77, with the motor running. Two doctors called to the scene pronounced death by accidental asphyxiation. Authorities determined the motor had been running for some time permitting the deadly fumes to penetrate the interior of the car. The former Ruth Joyce Rumbley was born in Corpus Christi on Nov. 30, 1947, came to Muenster as a child and married Richard Herr, July 31, 1965, in Sacred Heart Church. Obit (modified) She was the daughter of Melba Joyce Hill and Raymond Young Rumley and was the mother of 4 children:two daughters, Pat and Rose; two sons, Johnny and Jimmy.
