Howard xxxxxxx Find A Grave contributor Sue Lilley has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Murray Howard. 7/10/2016 THE LAMPASAS LEADER February, 1904 Howard-Donnan In this city at 8:30 o'clock Sunday evening, February 14, Mr. Murray W. Howard and Miss Nona Donnan were unified in marriage. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Yates was beautifully decorated in honor of the approaching nuptials. The large hall and parlors were lighted by numbers of green candles; the alcove in the front parlor was a perfect bower of ferns and English ivy. The chatter of the many friends in happy exchange of thought and expression in admiration of the artistically arrange flowers, was hushed by the sweet strains of Mendelssohn's grand wedding march, so well rendered from the deft fingers of Mrs. J.W. Brooks, upon the piano, and Miss Annie Browning with violin obligato, so harmoniously beautiful, filled each one with the sacredness of the hour. The bride and groom elect entered the large doorway - she handsomely gowned in delicate green silk and point lace trimmings, he in full evening dress - made a perfect picture of handsome man and womanhood. Just as the reached the alcove, Rev. W.T. Renfro, of the Methodist Episcopal church, advanced and in a clear voice and most impressive manner reminded them of the solemn vows they were to make each to the other. Receiving their sacred promises, he entered into the beautiful ceremony of his church and pronounced them man and wife.
