Bio

Mary Sidney Fontenow Dagle Fregia was married to Joseph "Joe" Fregia (b. 1879) on 1903. The couple is listed in the 1910-1940 census records. Her husband, Joseph Fregia, was the son of Frozan and Ellode Marie Daigle Fregia. According to his wife's death certificate, he was still living at the time of her death. Joseph Fregia was the step-nephew of Stonewall Jackson Fregia. ---------------- The Liberty Vindicator, Liberty, TX 11 Jan 1951 Daisetta Resident Leaves 11 Children; 66 Grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Sidney Fregia, 88, who died at her home in Daisetta, were held at the graveside in Oakdale Cemetery in Daisetta on January 4, with Rev. J.B. Laughlin of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Fregia of Daisetta; five daughters, Mrs. Birchey Taylor, Mrs. Overton Nugent, Mrs. Melvin Leger, Mrs. Carl young, all of Daisetta, and Mrs. Wilson Vail of Hall. Six sons, Nearule Dagle and Herbert Fregia, both of Hardin; Tinnie Dagle, Joseph Fregia, Jr., William Fregia, all of Daisetta, and Lawrence Dagle of Saratoga; one sister, Louise Fregia of Daisetta; three brothers, U. Fontenot, J. Fontenot, both of Batson, and G. Fontenot of Hardin, 66 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Coffey-Donnelly Funeral Home was in charge.
