Bio

Rosalie Wisniewski Hartman passed away at her home January 16, 2021 at the age of 103. Rosalie was born June 8, 1917 in Washington County to Steve and Hedwig Wisniewski. The oldest of seven children (five brothers and two sisters) the family spent their early years working as farmers. Around the age of sixteen Rosalie moved to Houston, Texas where she later married and gave birth to a son and daughter. Rosalie had many trials in her life, but with her faith and tenacity she persevered through the hardships. She spent her last sixteen years living peacefully in Hockley, Texas in the care of her daughter and son-in-law. Rosalie is proceeded in death by her parents, all of her siblings along with their spouses, her oldest child David Fojtik, an infant niece and two dear nephews. She leaves behind her daughter, JoAnn Crisler and husband Robert; granddaughters Angela Mathes and husband Chuck, Pamela Skinner and husband Gary, Melissa Cook and husband Jason; great-grandchildren Daymon, Elizabeth, James, Jenna, Jonathon and Morgan; along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews and their families. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Hempstead, Texas on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 10:00 in the morning. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hempstead, Texas under the direction of McWilliams Funeral Home. Please note this memorial was created beside her son, which is not located at St Mary's Cem.
