Martha Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jackson was first married to Elisha B. Wysinger about 1877 in Mississippi. They had 1 daughter, Mary Ada Wysinger who was born in Pontotoc Co., Mississippi. Elisha Wysinger died about 1887 and Lizzie remarried to Robert M. Kelley later that year. Lizzie & Robert M. Kelley had 3 children, George, Elmer & Lonie. The family moved from Pontotoc Co., MS to Lafayette Co., MS. Robert M. Kelley died prior to 1910. Lizzie & her children then moved on to Jackson Parish, Louisiana. According to her death record, Lizzie died on April 17, 1926 in Eros, Jackson Parish, Louisiana. Her father was listed as Alfred Jackson & her mother as Hattie (Hollie?) Lewis on the death record. Lizzie's father was first married to Holly Lewis and had several children. He then married Martha Grimmett and had more children. Some researchers show Lizzie to be the daughter of 2nd wife Martha Grimmett. This is incorrect. Lizzie was a baby when her mother died and her stepmother Martha Grimmett Jackson raised her. Lizzie's death record shows her mother's name as Hollie Lewis not Martha Grimmett. Lizzie's year of birth of 1860 (as per the death record & headstone) is incorrect. Census records show her birth ranging from 1854 to 1860.
