Bio

Funeral services for Nezzie George, age 91, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Interment will follow at Forest Academy, with Chad Beck, Chase Beck, Carl Atkinson, Landon George, Norval George, Wayne Fountain and Kevin Beck serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Nezzie George passed away at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital, Monday morning, February 23, 2009. She was born in Franklin County, on February 22, 1918, the daughter of Steve Westbrook, Sr. and Minnie Cater Westbrook. She married Johnsie A. George. He preceded her in death. Mrs. George was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include: three daughters, Shirley Fouse, Flora Hicks, both of Sulphur Springs, and Rosa Lewis of Austin; two sons, Billy Tom George of Sulphur Springs and Bobby D. George of Brinker; sister, Christine Nail of Weatherford; grandchildren, Jean Fouse, William Fouse, Karen Huskey, Judith Beck, Trulene Robertson, Norval George, Landon George, Tissha Atkinson, Billy George, Johnny George, Joe George, Rhonda Bell, Sonja Lewis, Tannis Lewis and Charlotte Crump; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda George and Janie George; son, Bobby Lou George and several brothers and sisters.
