Quida Bennette Woods July 8, 1935 ~ March 21, 2009 Quida Bennette Woods was born July 8, 1935 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the second daughter of Frank M. Woods and Ida Hines Woods. Franks Woods died when Ouida was nine months old and Ouida and her sister, Faye were raised in the loving household of her mother, Ida and step-father, Hoy Harrison Woods (59875517). Ouida graduated from Hemphill High School in 1952 at the age of sixteen. Ouida then went on to graduate from Stephen F. Austin State College and began her career as a teacher in Port Neches, Texas at the age of twenty years. Ouida married Rudy John Bohac in 1968 and they moved to the Austin area where she lived for the remainder of her life. Ouida was a teacher/counselor for forty-two years, most of that time in the Austin ISD. Ouida retired in 2002. Ouida and her sister Faye Woods Walker (FAG mem 60027818) were constant companion for the past thirteen years and they were best friends as well as sisters. Ouida was preceded in death by her father, Franks M. Woods, her mother, Ida Hines Woods Byley, her stepfather, Hoy H. Byley (59875517)) and her brother-in-law, Harvel Gene Walker (38533993). She is survived by her husband, Rudy John Bohac of Round Rock, Texas, her only son, R.J. Bohac of College Station, Texas, her sister, Faye Woods Walker of Hemphill, Texas, a nephew, William "Billy" Walker and his wife, Kathy of Lukfin, Texas and two great newphews, Christopher and Zachary Walker of Lufkin, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm, March 23, 2009 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill Texas with Reverend Richard Smith officiating. Burial in the Hemphill Cemetery.
