Bio

Dorothy M. Dildine, 89, a resident of Port Orchard, died Jan. 10, 2003 at Ridgemont Terrace Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 11, 1913 in Hampton, Neb. to Lloyd and Bertha (Collinson) Dory. She married Elwin Dildine on July 19, 1947 in Shelton, Wash. He preceded her in death in 1992. She graduated from Hampton, High School in Hampton, Neb. and from Beauty College in Grand Island, Neb. She worked as a beautician in Port Orchard since 1943. She loved golf, traveling, yardwork, and was a member of Soroptimist, Lady Elks, VFW, Eagles and Daughters of the Nile. She is survived by her brothers Allan Dory of Moses Lake and Donald Dory of Overland Park, Kan. She was preceded in death by her brother Maurice and sisters Alice, Esther and Gladys. Inurnment will be held at Sunset Lane Cemetery. North Kitsap Herald - (Aug/23/2008)
