San Angelo Standard-Times San Angelo, Texas · Saturday, June 30, 1962 KERRVILLE - Funeral services for Jake L. Smith, 74, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sunset Cemetery at Mountain Home. Mr. Smith died at his home in Kerrville Thursday afternoon. He was born March 13, 1888, in Kerr County, and lived in the county all his life. He was engaged in ranching at Mountain Home and in the Reservation community. Mr. Smith was a Baptist. He and Mrs. Smith celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in February, Survivors include his wife. Mrs. Bessie Smith of Kerrville: two sons. Hollan Smith of Kerrville and Calvin Smith of Mountain Home: three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Starks of Hunt. Mrs. Annie Carmichael of Kerrville Mrs. Ada Kendall of Ponotoc; one brother, Joe Smith of Ingram: three grandchildren and one great -grandchild.
