Bio

Funeral services were held here Thursday for J. H. Townsend, 70, pioneer of this city. The services were conducted by Rev. Roy Shahan, pastor of the First Baptist church, with interment in the Rule cemetery. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. S. Anderson, Mrs. J. L. Chenault, Mrs. Jasper Cole, Mrs. E. P. Lewis, F. P. Townsend, Mrs. Warren Henry, Mrs. C. O. Philips, Mrs. Jim Linville, and A. E. Townsend.
