WENATCHEE - Virginia E. Wigbers, 78, a longtime resident of Wenatchee, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 1995, at her home. She was born Nov. 8, 1917, to Thomas C. and Mary E. (Woster) Janda at Aumsville, Ore. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Omaha, Neb., where she grew up and completed her education. She married Fred J. Wigbers on Sept. 2, 1941, at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They lived at Holden, where Mr. Wigbers worked in the mine. Mr. and Mrs. Wigbers owned and operated a variety store at the Holden Post Office until they moved to Wenatchee in 1956. Mrs. Wigbers worked for the Hesperian Packing Shed for several years. She was a member of Catholic Daughters, The TOPS Group No. 1080 and was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Adam of Gig Harbor; three grandchildren, Brian, Jon and Carin, all of Seattle; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973. Arrangements are by Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
