Mr. Lawson was born May 12, 1872 in Lawrence County Tennessee. He came to Texas while still young and lived in Midlothian and the surrounding area for over seventy years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a retired farmer. He had lived in Dallas for several years; the last five years he and his wife lived in Skyline Nursing Home. Survivors include his wife, Cora Mae Lawson of Dallas; two sons W. F. Lawson of Red Oak and Tony Lawson of Dallas; a daughter Mrs. Bill Boogan of Dallas and 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
