The Rev. Sonny Smith and Chaplin Don Oliver officiated. Mahon died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in Weatherford. Born Feb. 3, 1921, in Bosque County to Samuel Jackson Caughron (s/b Samuel Taylor Caughron) and Willie Pearl Holt, she was a retired commercial seamstress and had been a resident of Fort Worth since 1947. She was preceded in death by two sisters and seven brothers. She is survived by a son, Don Sinclair and wife Tammy of Cleburne; two daughters, Joyce Alexander and husband Jim of Boyd and Linda Smitherman and Jo Gutierrez of Fort Worth; a sister, Mary Rowe of Belton; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
