Last Rites Conducted Here Today for A.R. Jackson of Venus Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. today for Albert Ross Jackson, 56, who died at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday at his home near Venus. The Rev. Calvin Jenkins of Italy officiated at the rites at Rudolph Funeral Chapel here, followed by interment in Midlothian City Cemetery. Musice was furnished by a vocal quartet, composed of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Carter, Ollie Paul and Jaqueline Curry. Pallbearers were W.H. Ferguson, Elmer Kenny, T. J. Poteet, A.J. Mercer, all of Venus; N.C. Buck, Buena Vista, and Bud Woodall, Maypearl. Mr. Jackson, a native of Ellis County, lived at Buena Vista a number of years before moving to Venus five years ago. He was engaged in farming. In 1914, he was married to Miss Willie Parks at Oak. Surviving him are his wife and one son, James Jackson, both of Venus; one brother, Ralph Jackson, Waxahachie; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Ashford, Midlothian, and Mrs. C.C. Stewart, Amarillo, and his step-mother, Mrs. Ham Jackson, Waxahachie. shares stone w/Willie Lee Jackson. 1900 Census, Albert R. Jackson, b 10/1889, living in Ellis County, Texas, with father Joseph H. Jackson, b 11/1858, & step-mother, Bettie, b 11/1873, siblings; M. H., E. M., & L.D., and half brother & half sister, R. A. & Dora L. (Step-mother, Bettie, married 7 years, had 4 children with 2 living). Texas Death Certificate #8824. Parents were Hattie Price & Ham Jackson.
